THE BEGINNING
It started with my own dry, overwashed hands…
I’ve been an orthodontist for over 30 years, and I truly love what I do. Helping people feel healthier and more confident with their smiles has been my life’s work.
But it came at a cost. I washed my hands so many times a day, I lost count.
Each patient meant fresh gloves, another scrub, sanitizer – over and over. It didn’t take long for my skin to pay the price.
Dry. Cracked. Irritated and tired.
I developed allergic rashes to latex and had to switch to synthetic gloves.
What bothered me most wasn’t just the discomfort. It was reading a lotion label and thinking, “What am I putting on my skin, the same skin I’m supposed to protect?”
I wanted a better answer. Not just for me, but for anyone who faces the same daily routine and the same worries.
THE IDEA
Inspired by my garden
I’ve always loved growing things — blueberries, cucumbers, pumpkins, and lavender — close to the earth, without chemical pesticides, just simple and real.
One day, looking at the lavender I’d tended, I thought: what if I could turn this into something that nourished my skin too?
So, I pulled out a pot, a few bottles of coconut and grape seed oil, and began to experiment.
The first lotion wasn’t perfect, far from it. The formulas were too greasy. Others fell apart in the heat and were not stable.
Slowly, I created something that healed my own dry hands. Then I gave jars to friends, neighbors, and even patients.
And the response was the same: “Can I get more of this?” That’s when I knew I was onto something.
THE EVOLUTION
From the kitchen to Oonly
As the formula grew, so did my determination to keep it pure and intentional.
